ABSTRACT

The efficacy of Rhinomer® Force 3 versus serum physiological spray was compared in 98 patients who had undergone endonasal surgery (septoplasty, rhinoplasty or endoscopic sinus surgery). The patients were randomly divided into two groups and asked to use for 1 month either Rhinomer® Force 3, isotonic, sterile, undiluted sea water, or serum physiological spray was given 2 days after surgery in the patients with anterior nasal pack and 4 hour after surgery in the patients without nasal pack. Nasal status was assessed by rhinologic endoscopy, 4 mm, 00 nasal endoscope, on days 2, 7, 15 and 30 following surgery. On the 7th and 15th days, the efficacy was statistically significant for Rhinomer. In this study, Rhinomer containing trace and minor elements and providing active and dynamic cleansing of the nose, was found to be efficacious in the healing of the nasal cavity following endonasal surgery.

ÖZET

Endonazal cerrahi (septoplasti, septorinoplasti ve endoskopik sinüs cerrahisi) uygulanan 96 erişkin hasta grubunda postope-ratif nazal kavite irrigasyonu için kullanılan deniz suyu sprey (Rhinomer® Force 3) ile serum fizyolojik spreyin etkinliği pros-pektif olarak endoskopik muayene skorlaması ile karşılaştırıldı. Hastalar randomize olarak iki gruba ayrıldı. Birinci gruba Rhinomer® Force 3, ikinci gruba ise serum fizyolojik sprey verildi. Her iki sprey formu ön tampon konulmuş hastalarda postoperatif 2. gün, tampon konulmamış hastalarda ise postoperatif 4. saatten itibaren başlanmak üzere, günde 4 defa her bir nazal ka-viteye iki kez olacak şekilde 1 ay boyunca uygulandı. Hastaların postoperatif 2, 7, 15 ve 30. günlerde olmak üzere 4 mm, 00 endoskopla endonazal muayeneleri yapıldı. Her iki ilacın etkinliği istatistiksel olarak değerlendirildi. Postoperatif 7. gün (p<0.001) ve 15. günlerde (p<0.05) Rhinomer grubunun istatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede etkin olduğu görüldü. Bu çalışmada Rhinomer'in tek yönlü kuvvetli püskürtme özelliği ve içerdiği eser ve minör elementler ile endonazal cerrahi sonrası nazal kavite iyileşmesinde etkili olduğu gösterilmiştir.
